Before or after your visit of the marsh, take a break at Les Bols du Marais for a meal, a café gourmand or simply a drink between friends, it’s the occasion to discover some local flavors.
Make up your bowl with what you want to eat
Take a comfy seat on the terrace or indoor and choose your options : small or large bowl, green salad, Tilques carrot, cauliflower, ‘Batistin’ cheese and even edible flowers can brighten up your meal, based on your wishes and depending on the seasons.
A resolutely locavore approach
Local and regional products
Composed of almost exclusively local and regional products, you’ll have the oportunity to taste vegetables from the market gardeners and some freshly harvested from the Conservatory vegetable garden nearby.
Among the main suppliers of Les Bols du Marais are found ‘La Cressonnière de Tilques’, ‘La Ferme Bédague’, ‘du Potager à l’assiette’, ‘l’Ilôt Tétard’ or ‘Natur Paysan’. You can as well complete your bowl with poultry from Licques or ‘Batistin’ cheese. Flax or sesame seeds from ‘Jars & co’ can season the whole.
On the drinks side, the emphasis is put on the local too : ‘La Goudale’ beer, brewed in Arques or beers from ‘l’abbaye de Clairmarais’. The Kombucha from the brewery ‘l’indipensable’ in Lille, ‘la Gosse’ lemonades and the ‘Potion du Marais’ created specially by ‘Le Chaudron Helfic’
Lastly, to end on a sweet note, you can taste deserts made by different local pâtisseries, delicious crepes prepared by the creperie ‘Ty Breizh’, different flavors of ice cream from the ice cream maker ‘Les Givrés du Cornet’ and the coffee ‘Didier Boulet’ from Blendecques.
